Opening hours and location

Dear Readers,

Please be informed that between July 20 and August 31, 2020 the Check-out Counter (Circulation Desk) will be open from Monday to Friday between 1 pm. and 4 pm. The Circulation Department has resumed limited indoor library services for AMU staff, PhD students and AMU students. Following a decision taken by the authorities of Adam Mickiewicz University the services have been made available for research workers, doctoral students and students of all higher education institutions affiliated with the Poznan Foundation of Scientific Libraries and research workers from: the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Western Institute, the Institute of National Remembrance, retired research workers of the aforementioned institutions and the Poznań-based libraries.

Between July 20 and July 31, 2020, many of services provided by the Circulation Dept. for AMU staff, PhD student and students will be offered on a limited basis. Processing of requests will be made depending on the activity of other libraries in Poland and abroad. Between July 20 and August 31, 2020, the NOVA Reading Room will be open between 1 pm. and 4 pm. AMU staff members, PhD students and students can access journals and other publications available on site only. Let us also inform you that as a precautionary measure following public health advice relating to the COVID-19 outbreak,  oll the other reading rooms and study rooms have been closed and remain closed until futher notice.

The aim of the eduroam project is to allow a user to access the Internet through the wireless network (rarely through the wired network) from any educational institution involved in the project. This solution is primarily directed to the staff and students of universities and research units.

Requirements. Who can use the eduroam network?

  • AMU staff have server accounts being administered by
    the AMU Computer Centre,
  • Students of AMU having the USOS system accounts,
  • Users from other units participating in the eduroam project.

AMU staff and students who have not yet changed their password through the AMU-NET Panel or last changed their password before 1 January 2007 must provide a new password before connecting to the network (the password can be changed through the AMU-NET Panel).

If your phone, tablet, or laptop is set up to use eduroam at University Library it can use the same settings to connect to eduroam at any building of AMU.

Where to find a suitable place right in the city centre to work on projects, learn, hold a talk or show a presentation?

Biblioteka Uniwersytecka offers its users a specially prepared training/meeting room that serves the purpose just right (the room has Wi-Fi access and is equipped with the standard equipment, including a multimedia beamer, a screen, a flipchart, 6 mobile tables and 18 chairs.

How to book the training room?
